Texas Junior Roller Derby is a 501c3 non-profit junior sports club started in 2014 in Austin, TX. Our focus is on fostering personal and physical development through collaboration and community building. TXJRD strives to improve individual athleticism, leadership, and character, while promoting team unity. Our Mission is to provide young athletes aged 8 to 17 the opportunity to develop positive ideals and realize their own potential through engagement in the sport of roller derby.

Courtney Williams Barrón is the parent of Killennium Falcon and has been involved with TXJRD since 2018. A long-time educator, she has taught middle & high school and has served on the faculties of University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College. Courtney is currently an educational consultant working on high school redesign and school improvement with Educate Texas and TEA. She's lived in Austin since 2008. She is involved with Austin Roller Derby, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for local roller derby and is currently the Parent Representative on the Junior Roller Derby Association (JRDA) board of directors.
Brimm Walker is the parent of Machingbird and has been involved with TXJRD since 2021. A massage therapist and owner of Analog Massage, he's lived in Austin since 2005. He's worked with Keep Austin Beautiful, The Trail Foundation, Friends of Barton Springs and Tree Folks. Brimm is also a Travis County Master Gardener.
Nelda Barron is the parent of Killennium Falcon and has been a part of TXJRD since 2018. She is a long-time school and non-profit administrator, educator, college professor and organizational consultant. Nelda is a Texas native and has lived in Austin since 2008. She has served on several non-profit boards and is also a long-time Girl Scout Leader and is an active volunteer with Girl Scouts of Central Texas.
Cyndi Larrimore is the parent of The Gremlin and has been a part of TXJRD since 2023. She has worked as an elementary and middle school science teacher with Austin Independent School District since 2000. A native of north Texas, she moved to Austin in 1998. Brooke McMillan is the parent of Gator and has been a part of TXJRD since 2021. She has a long history of working with nonprofits since she started with the local nonprofit LIVESTRONG in 2004. Brooke McMillan is the parent of Gator and has been a part of TXJRD since 2021. She has a long history of working with nonprofits since she started with the local nonprofit LIVESTRONG in 2004. Since then, she has assisted dozens of local and national nonprofits with their digital marketing and social media efforts through my company Social Llama Consulting. Brooke moved to Austin in 2002 and has mostly lived in South Austin and Buda. All three of her teenage children were born in Austin and she looks forward to some point in the near future, when she will have activities outside of being their taxi driver and cheerleader.

Working in the commercial real estate industry, active member of real estate organizations and active ERG chair, Irene brings experience in fundraising, event organization and financial acumen. Originally from New Mexico, she has lived in Austin since 2007. Outside of derby she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, live music and cooking.
Beth Reyburn is the parent of Murder Hornet and has been a part of TXJRD since 2023. She has served on preschool board of directors and been a part of elementary and middle school PTAs as president, vice president, and membership chair.

Yolanda Romanelli is the parent of Kitty and has been a part of TXJRD since 2022. She is a Montessori Educator at Austin’s first Public Montessori school and a published author of the Monarch Readers. She has lived in Austin since 2010 and has been involved with TXJRD’s Community Engagement Committee and coordinating our participation in

Yolanda is a Girl Scout troop leader and plays competitive tennis and participates in many tournaments throughout the year.
Christy Taylor is the parent Sassafrass and has been a part of TXJRD since 2023. She is an architect and designer, and a partner at her firm. She has lived in Austin since 2009,and has volunteered with several nonprofits and professional organizations over the years. Recently she wrapped up a 5-year stint on the board of the Austin chapt
Christy Taylor is the parent Sassafrass and has been a part of TXJRD since 2023. She is an architect and designer, and a partner at her firm. She has lived in Austin since 2009,and has volunteered with several nonprofits and professional organizations over the years. Recently she wrapped up a 5-year stint on the board of the Austin chapter of the American Institute of Architects, where she served as President of the Board in 2023. If she is not architecting or volunteering, you can probably find her on her own set of wheels, at the skate park with her husband and daughter.
